The Bookery Cook is currently in its gestation period, destined to borne into your favourite bookstores in 2010.

About the Book

The Bookery Cook explores and promotes the relationship between food and art.

A collection of recipes by sisters Jessica, Maxine and Georgia Thompson, the Book utilises art to capture the intangibles that surround/ are involved in the cooking and dining experience.

The recipes emphasise wholesome, colourful meals using fresh ingredients (organic and local when possible), and have been being compiled for years – from friends and family, in journals, transcribed from memory, inspired from menus, scribbled on backs of receipts, and conceived on the brink of sleep. Some simple and quick, some more complex and time-consuming, these recipes have been prepared, shared and relished on many occasions.

Through The Bookery Cook, with its inventory of cooking experiences and their visual interpretations, we hope to provide readers with delicious things to cook, interesting things to look at and learn, to encourage them eat consciously and soulfully, and to be inspired to cook (appreciating not just the flavours but the experience)!
